Description
English: At the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City, Russia, Expedition 48-49 crew member Kate Rubins of NASA (front row, left) signs a commemorative book May 31 following the crew’s news conference. Looking on are crewmates Anatoly Ivanishin of Roscosmos (front row, center) and Takuya Onishi of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (front row, right). In the back row from left to right are backup crew members Peggy Whitson of NASA (left), Oleg Novitskiy of Roscosmos (center) and Thomas Pesquet of the European Space Agency (right). Rubins, Ivanishin and Onishi are scheduled to launch June 24 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on the Soyuz MS-01 spacecraft for a four-month mission on the International Space Station.
