Description

Souvenir envelope of the reunified Germany; 1991; commemorative issue to the topic "200 years of Brandenburg Gate" in Berlin to an anniversary exhibition for the same topic; additional envelope motive with diverses monocromized pictures of the Brandenburg gate from old postcards beside of inscriptions on occasion of an exhibition in the today Museum für Kommunikation Berlin in Berlin-Mitte in the Leipziger Staße/ edge Mauerstraße.; This envelope is franked with a stamp of Germany, Michel No. 1492 from 08th of January, 1991 with the Brandenburg gate as motive (picture from an old engraving). The stamp is postmarked with a one-cirle special cancellation with 35.0 mm diameter 1000 Berlin 12 from showing beside diverse inscriptions a portrait of Carl Gotthard Langhans (1732-1808), the architect of the Brandenburg Gate.
