Description
English: Southern Vectis 1053 St Catherine's Point (YU52 XVN), a Scania OmniDekka in Park Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight on route 1. It was Cowes Week at the time, and with buses not serving Cowes Pontoon (the Red Jet terminal), double deckers were being used to cope with high loadings. During the daytime, duplicate journeys were run with extra buses from the Go South Coast events fleet, but during the evening it seemed that the normal green bus fleet took over, presumably as they came out of service elsewhere. The evening service ran at the normal frequency, but the double deckers provided extra capacity.
