Description
English: A 1995 Dublin Bus RA-class Alexander (Belfast) bodied Volvo Olympian double-decker, pictured at the 2009 Cobham bus rally in the UK. It was new to Dublin Bus as their dual-door fleet no. RA210 (reg. 95 D 210). Having been withdrawn by November 2007 and sold by January 2008, it's pictured here still in Dublin Bus livery and re-registered with UK plate M457 UKN, in the posession of dealer Southdown PSV, who have applied their web address to the side of the bus. Having also been converted to a single-door bus, instead of finding further use in the UK like many other imported Dublin Bus Olympians, unusually RA210 was shipped back to the Republic of Ireland 2 months after this photograph, in June 2009. It has subsequently regained its original Irish registration, and has been put to work as an Aran Islands Ferries bus on the west coast of Ireland, with Lallys Coaches of Galway, albeit still in the base colours of Dublin Bus.
