Description From the Columbia Pleateau (Owyhee Mountains) northward into Marsing, Idaho, cheatgrass (and medusahead) abundance becomes more common seemingly as a function of lower elevation rather than degree and nature of disturbance. This upland area harbors a small patch of high native cover sagebrush steppe, a rarity in the region of the lower Snake River Plains.
