The country lies on the Equator, but it contains snowmountains; and some of the high land lying between thecoast and the Victoria Lake is said to be fit for Europeancolonisation. It is bordered by the great lakes of Africa, yetmuch of the Sphere, especially the parts towards LakesRudolf and Stephanie, is waterless.
