Summary
[edit]DescriptionSouth Ugie Water, by Saplinbrae. - geograph.org.uk - 164091.jpg |
English: South Ugie Water, by Saplinbrae. This was taken from the old railway bridge which now carries the Formartine & Buchan Way across the river. The hill is Saplinbrae on which is the Saplinbrae House Hotel. Right of the hill (hidden from view) is Pitfour Lake, one of Scotland's very few lakes - and not as well known as the Lake of Menteith. The fields hereabouts are rich agricultural land, good for cattle & sheep, cereals, pasture and root crops. |
