Summary
[edit]DescriptionSouth Lodge at Bourne, Lincolnshire (geograph 4529334).jpg |
English: South Lodge at Bourne, Lincolnshire
This grand Victorian house in South Road built of red brick with ashlar quoins was once the home of James Watson Burdwood (1837-1916), doctor and surgeon, who also worked as Medical Office of Health, factory surgeon, medical officer responsible for infectious diseases and surgeon to the local railway companies. He was also in private practice and his name can still be seen on a stone tablet on the south wall of the house where he also held his surgery. |
