Description U.S. Airmen from the South Carolina Air National Guard’s 169th Civil Engineer Squadron fill sand bags at McEntire Joint National Guard Base, S.C., during a statewide response to Hurricane Irma, Sept. 8, 2017. The sand bags were used to mitigate water collection from damaging buildings and structures on base in preparation for Hurricane Irma. Hurricane Irma peaked as a Category 5 hurricane in the Atlantic Ocean and is projected to pass along the S.C. coast. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Senior Airman Megan Floyd)
