Description
English: صُوْر [2] هي مدينة بحرية لبنانية مركز قضاء صور أحد أقضية محافظة الجنوب. تقع على شاطيء البحر الأبيض المتوسط. تعتبر مدينة "صور" من مدن لبنان الفينيقية من أشهر حواضر العالم عبر التاريخ للدور التي لعبته في الحقبة الفينيقية ان كان من ناحية سيطرتها على التجارة البحرية، انشائها المستوطنات التجارية حول المتوسط، نشر الديانات في العالم القديم، انشائها مستوطنة قرطاجة التي قارعت الدولة الرومانية، أو مقاومتها لزحف الإسكندر المقدوني.
