| Description |
English: Sopley: the River Avon at Avon Causeway The water level is pretty high at the moment, unsurprisingly since we have had much rainfall in the last week or two. The road bridge carrying the Avon Causeway over the river, was rebuilt a year ago and is just across the gridline in the next square west.
As well as looking across the river, we are simultaneously looking across the border from Hampshire into Dorset the Avon is the county boundary here, as it is for much of its length between Christchurch and Ringwood. |
