SOME ORNAMENTAL SHRUBS FOR THE TROPICS 93 they remain small. The general habit is more upright than spread- ing. The flowers of a cluster open a few at a time. The dark blue fruit are also attractive. Since best growth is obtained in full sun, these plants can be used in medium- and large-sized, open areas, individually or in small groups not closer than 25 feet apart.
