Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Formed 50-60 million years ago, the 40,000 pillars which makes up the giant's causeway, each with five to seven irregular sides, reach out of the cliff faces as if they were steps creeping into the sea. Caused by successive lava flows, the immense pressure between the basalt pillars created the polygonal shapes!
