Deutsch: Karolingisches Stuckrelief aus Solnhofen. Durchmesser des Medaillons: 46 cm.
Das Original befindet sich als Leihgabe in der Archäologischen Staatssammlung München, eine oder mehrere Kopien in Solnhofen.
Dargestellt ist das Brustbild eines Mannes mit Perlendiadem im Haar und einer Fackel in der rechten Hand; die linke Hand hat er segnend(?) erhoben. Die Deutung ist umstritten: der Heilige Sola oder die Personifikation des Sola-Sol oder eine allegorische Darstellung Ludwigs des Frommen.
Wahrscheinlich gehörte das Relief zur Erstausstattung der von Ludwig dem Frommen gestifteten, 819 geweihten Sola-Basilika.
