English: Soldiers from the 1st Air Cavalry Brigade "Warriors," 1st Cavalry Division, stand at attention after receiving their golden spurs during a ceremony held at Camp Taji, Iraq, Oct. 29. The Warriors are quickly nearing the end of a 15 month deployment in which they provided safe aerial travel as well as aerial weapons support. The gold spurs indicate a Soldier has deployed to a war zone as a member of a cavalry unit; they are worn during ceremonies and special events along with the Stetson. |
