L’hôpital d’Eich, fondé par l’industriel Norbert Metz en 1873 et appartenant à l’entreprise sidérurgique luxembourgeoise ARBED, était l’un des hôpitaux mis à la disposition de la Croix-Rouge luxembourgeoise, nouvellement créée, dès le début des hostilités. La photo montre des soldats français blessés à la bataille de Longwy. Dans une autre aile du même hôpital, la Croix-Rouge soignait aussi des soldats allemands.
