This image contains digital watermarking (a timestamp). The usage of visible watermarks is discouraged. If a non-watermarked version of the image is available, please upload it under the same file name and then remove this template. Ensure that removed information is present in the image description page and replace this template with {{Metadata from image}} or {{Attribution metadata from licensed image}}.
Caution: Before removing a watermark from a copyrighted image, please read the WMF's analysis of the legal ramifications of doing so, as well as Commons' proposed policy regarding watermarks. If the old version is still useful, for example if removing the timestamp damages the image significantly, upload the new version under a different title so that both can be used. Summary
[edit]DescriptionSolar eclipse of November 3, 2013 (49157782916).jpg |
Solar eclipse of November 3, 2013 Credit: Giuseppe Donatiello Taken from Oria at 14:26 On November 3, 2013, a hybrid solar eclipse occurred with the band of totality crossing the Atlantic and central Africa. In Italy it was visible as partial from the extreme southern regions with the grazing line placed approximately at the latitude of Rome. From Oria, the edge of the Sun was barely touched, with the eclipse lasting just about ten minutes. This is one of the afocal shots taken with the old Newtonian 114/900mm in the presence of a lot of haze. The affected portion was so tiny that I had to use an arrow to make it easier to spot in the photo.
