This photo was taken on August 1, 2008 at 9:58am UT (shortly afterwards of maximum phase in this place) Using self-made filter from silver negative...

IMPORTANT NOTE: NEVER LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN!

Even more importantly, you should not look at the Sun through a telescope or camera unless you have a professional solar filter that covers the front of the telescope or camera.
