Summary

[edit]
Description

This photo was taken with a Canon SX40 with 35x optical image stabilized zoom during the total solar eclipse on Aug. 21, 2017. Dubbed by media as the Great American Eclipse, there had not been a solar eclipse visible across the entire United States since June 8, 1918. The path of totality ended at around 1445 EDT in South Carolina where this photo was taken on a boat dock of Lake Murray in Lexington, SC. It show cases the beauty of a celestial event.
