English: The photo shows two SoftBeetles on a leaf of grass during the mating season.
Pay attention to the clarity of the drawing of all parts of the soft body. The photo was taken in the afternoon. Description - Softbeetles (Latin Cantharidae) are a family of beetles from the superfamily Elateroidea. Adult insects have elongated bodies with soft cuticles; antennae 10-12-segmented, filiform; abdomen with seven sternites. Ground or soil larvae have black velvety covers. Most of the soft beetle species inhabit countries with cold and temperate climates. Red-footed softbeetle belongs to the Cantharididae family, which are characterized by a long, soft body and bright coloration. This family includes many beetles that are similar in appearance, but different in size. Where photographed - Ukraine. Lugansk region. Severodonetsk. On the banks of the Seversky Donets River. Опис: Жук-пожежник або М`якотілки (лат. Cantharidae) – родина жуків з надродини Elateroidea. Дорослі комахи мають видовжені тіла з м'якою кутикулою, вусики нитковидні, що складаються з 10-12 члеників, черевце має сім стернітів. Наземні або грунтові личинки мають чорні оксамитові покриви. Більшість видів м`якотілок поширені у холодному і помірному кліматі. Жук-пожежник (м'якотілка сільська або червононога) належить до родини Cantharidae, представники якої мають довге м'яке тіло та яскраве забарвлення. До цієї родини належать схожі на вигляд жуки, що відрізняються за розмірами. Де сфотографовано: Україна, Луганська область, м.Сєвєродонецьк. На березі річки Сіверський Донець. Літо 2020 року.
