Description

Ball-and-stick model of an imaginary sodium-phosphorus sheet in the crystal structure of sodium phosphide, Na3P. The structure of sodium phosphide can be considered as consisting of alternating layers consisting of (i) graphite-like sheets of Na and P and (ii) layers of sodium ions in a cyclohexane chair conformation.

X-ray diffraction data from Y. Dong and F. J. DiSalvo (November 2005). "Reinvestigation of Na3P based on single-crystal data". Acta. Cryst. E61 (11): i223-i224. DOI:10.1107/S1600536805031168.
