| Description |
English: This is the Subordinates' Club constructed by the British on the Ross Island when India was under British rule and Ross Island was the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar group of islands. It was built for the junior commissioned/non-commisioned and other ranking officers of the British Army and their families to spend their leisure time in the evenings and on the weekends. It had a teak dancing floor which was mounted on springs. The entire window frame work and its panes were made from stained glass imported from Italy. The band playing music had its position on an elevated platform at he western end of the wall. |
