Summary
[edit]DescriptionSnowlike (8197957781).jpg |
Dead spruces bordering a pond in the McIntyre Wild Area, Loyalsock State Forest, Lycoming County. The trees have succumbed to cytospora canker, a fungal disease of spruces and other conifers. Resin oozes from the cankers, solidifying into a thick, whitish mass resembling snow or hoar frost. |
