English: Pigs being gassed in a Smithfield Foods abattoir known as the "Farmer John Slaughterhouse" using a carbon dioxide (co2) gas chamber in Vernon, California, United States. This is a form of stunning to render animals unconscious that's common in the pork and bacon industry.
