Description |
The original Smith Brothers Merchandise Store was built in 1885, operated by the Smith brothers Ennis and Ira in Pine City, Washington. After the railroad was built in Pine City, the store was closed because the train was too close to the store and would scare the horses. In 1915 the building was remodeled and used as The Church of Christ. The church was closed in 1969. In 1998 local residents formed the Pine City Historical Society to restore the church.
