Description Deze smalspoorstaven stonden bij Wierhuizen dat ligt in de buurt van Jukwerd. De wierde is hier is in 1925 afgegraven (<a href="http://www.beeldbankgroningen.nl/beeldbank/indeling/detail/start/3?q_searchfield=Wierhuizen" rel="nofollow">www.beeldbankgroningen.nl/beeldbank/indeling/detail/start...</a>) en daarbij werd doorgaans smalspoor gebruikt. Een andere mogelijkheid is dat het gebied in de buurt van deze staven is afgergaven voor de kleiwinning van een steenfabriek. Veendorps steenfabriek ten westen van marsum aan de Heekt was niet al te ver af. Op de foto in "Versteende Tichelwerken" van Hylkema is een smalspoorlijn te zien die de Heekt oversteekt en verder naar het westen loopt.
