Title
Small spectacle buckle
Description
English: Small cast cu-alloy spectacle buckle dating from the post-medieval period, ie. c AD1600-1800. Only the buckle frame survives but it is broken and part of it is missing. The frame is undecorated and slightly skewed. It is flat on the reverse and shaped on the obverse, but there is no punched or incised decoration - it is a very basic spectacle buckle, probably used as a knee buckle or for a thin strap.
