Summary
[edit]DescriptionSmall hall building - originally a local school house - geograph.org.uk - 1038251.jpg |
English: Small hall building - originally a local school house This is a photograph of Ysgoldy'r Mynydd Du (Black Mountain school house), built by Bethel Newydd Congregational chapel, Garnant, to serve the rural community of Pentwyn and Twyn y Mynydd in Glanaman. Sunday school and weekly prayer meetings were held here until its closure comparatively recently.
The wooden sign before the building is a public footpath indicator and it bears the words "Mynydd Du" - welsh for Black Mountain, indicating that this is one of the routes up onto the mountainside. |
