Português: Gonçalo Inocentes (Matheos), Slot Ter Hooge, Naufrágio na Baía do Guilherme, Porto Santo, Região Autónoma da Madeira O Slot ter Hooge , ou Slotter, voltava em 1724 das Índias Orientais Holandesas com um importante carregamento de prata de 1.500 barras de 8 pesos de Amesterdam. Ao largo do Porto Santo, com 254 homens a bordo, enfrentou uma tempestade, afundando-se. Escaparam 33 homens que regressaram a Haia. Fez o relatório o 1.º tenente Baartel Taerlink e, um ano depois, uma equipagem inglesa comandada por John Lethbridge levantava uma parte do carregamento, então de somente 346 barras. Voltaria em 1733 e 1734, mas igualmente com modestos resultados. Em 1974, o caçador de tesouros Robert Sténuit (1933-) conseguiria autorização dos governos Holandês e Português para levantar o que restava do espólio do Slot ter Hooge. A situação levantou alguma celeuma regional, com o levantamento por aspiração de todo o material, tendo-se conseguido obrigar a equipa a depositar na alfândega do Funchal, uma parte, do material exumado. Colocado posteriormente a situação em tribunal, Robert Sténuit fez valer os seus direitos, obtendo autorização para o levantamento de todo o material. Após isso, ofereceu dez por cento do mesmo material, hoje exposto na Casa Colombo do Porto Santo.
