English: Charles A. Prince and Dr. John Bryant's racing sloop Beatrix, later rechristened Harpoon. She was yacht designer Edward Burgess's natural evolution of the compromise sloop, the only centerboarder of new 1891 46-footers and the only real contender to the class champion Gloriana. Pictured here racing in the Massachusetts Yacht Club $250 Cup, where she reached the second place.
