English: Slate Fence at the Head of Llyn Padarn These fences are common on farms in the slate areas of Wales. It's a case of using the nearest-to-hand materials, so this is the equivalent of the stone hedge in other parts. As long as they are set into the ground a single 'stone' can reach full height. The down side is that they need to be wired together to help keep them in line. |
