It shows the skulls of the Maclear's Rat (Rattus macleari) and the Bulldog Rat (Rattus nativitatis), two recently extinct rat species from Christmas Island (Australia). The Maclear's Rat (Mus macleari): Figs. 1, 3, 6, 7, 8. The Bulldog Rat (Mus nativitatis): Figs. 2, 4, 5, 9, 10.
