SKATING UNDERGROUND. This Illustration is another remarkable scene con-,quint upon the intenllt e frost. During the whole of last week, the canal from Regents-park basin to Paddington, presented a scene of much animation and bustle., froml the number of skaters and sliders upon it. The Illustration is taken from the Regent's-park end of the tunnel, through which the canal runs under Aberdeen-place and Maida-hill (about a quarter of a mile long) which throughout each day was traversed by hundreds of skaters, i ho wnlt through and through, in imitation of expres- train-, with :pipropriate noises and whistlings. as of engines letting offil tilhe -tailm. &c. the ice being considered good frotln there having been lno snow upon it, anlld the tar I - mnI1 being unable w o draw the ice-barge through to break it, at thit coll- I" lIj' \ ', II1 :4 E.T"II !\'fIiF I'i.
