Description
English: The process of molecular weight determination begins with injection of standards of known definite molecular weights, from which a calibration curve is created. The calibration curve relates elution time to log molecular weight, hence enables the characterization of distribution of molecular weights of polymers.
עברית: תהליך קביעת משקלים מולקולריים מתחיל בהזרקת סטנדרטים בעלי משקל מולקולרי ידוע ומוגדר. מהם יוצרים עקומת כיול שמקשרת בין לוג משקל מולקולרי לבין זמן היציאה של הפולימר. בעזרת העקומה ניתן לאפיין פיזור משקלים מולקולריים של פולימרים
