Description Six U.S. Navy Lockheed S-3A Viking aircraft, each from a different Anti-submarine Squadron (VS), fly in formation during a flight out of Naval Air Station, North Island (California, USA), on 1 December 1989. The squadrons are, from left, VS-41 "Shamrocks" (readiness squadron) , VS-21 Fighting Redtails (then assigned to Carrier Air Wing 11 (CVW-11)), VS-29 "Dragonfires" (CVW-15), VS-33 "Screwbirds" (CVW-9), VS-37 "Sawbucks" (CVW-14) and VS-38 "Red Griffins" (CVW-2).
