Description
Español: Este sitio arqueológico llamada Huaca Palomino se encuentra en el distrito Cercado de Lima. La Huaca Palomino pertenece al período Intermedio Tardío, específicamente a la cultura Ychsma del señorío de Maranga, con una reocupación en la época Inca y una reutilización muy superficial en las primeras décadas de la conquista hispana. Corresponde a una típica construcción de la época que se jerarquiza sobre su entorno empleando una plataforma masiva que se consigue con el uso de muros de barro llamado tapial. Dentro de la huaca Palomino, en la parte superior de la plataforma se encuentran los recintos más importantes constituidos por dos patios principales con sus respectivas banquetas. Estos elementos arquitectónicos como son la plataforma elevada, los patios interiores, las banquetas jerarquizadas, los corredores internos y los recintos cerrados, nos invita a postular que se trataría de edificaciones civiles-administrativas correspondientes al señorío de Maranga.
