Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Site of old Coal Mine Here, for many years, stood Burnleys largest Coal Mine, Bank Hall Pit. The path has been laid where the Mineral Railway used to run. This carried wagons of coal from the pit to Burnley Central Train Station. The Mine closed in the early 1970s. Now, after a great deal of landscaping, it is possible to walk from the town centre to Worsthorne and only cross one road. to the right of the path runs the river Brun.
