English: Site of the old ferry at the previous end of Old Ferry Road, Newburyport, MA. The river is beyond the screen of trees. The colonials appear to have enhanced a natural notch in the bank by excavation. Amesbury landing directly across the river is now a paved public landing next to a marina. No structures except a concrete step are visible at the site. |
