Description
English: Site of McManus shoe shop / Kinlochs Butchers, Omagh. The former is now occupied by Pollocks Estate Agents at the junction of High Street and Bridge Street. I can remember being fascinated by an x-ray machine that they had, in which you placed your foot with your shoe on to view how it looked and you could see your bones etc. It didn't allow for your flesh and thus it wasn't really an exact science and the unregulated x-ray sessions would have been harmful to staff and the general public alike. Kenny Kinloch's shop was located on the right in Bridge Street for more that 40 years in the premises now occupied by Bridge Express - these and similar bygone facts at http://sites.google.com/site/kennyallenswebsite/home/fair-faa-ye-tae-omey.
