| Description |
English: Site of Knowlton Halt, East Kent Light Railway The halt was situated the other side of the closed gate to the right of the footpaths fingerposts. It lay in a shallow cutting and was opened on 16 October 1916 as "Tilmanstone Village and Knowlton". It was renamed "Knowlton" in 1917 according to Bradshaw. It was closed to passengers on 1 November 1948 and closed completely on 31 October 1949. The line of trees to the right of the gate follows the route of the dismantled railway. |
