| Description |
English: Site of Cottam Airfield, Cottam, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. During the Second World War Cottam was used as an airfield and some of the concrete runways remain as farm roads. The airfield was originally built as a satellite airfield to Driffield and was later developed as a bomber airfield but never used as such. The runways were later used for bomb storage. This old runway is now part of the area's bridleway network where it heads northwards towards Cottam House. |
