| Description |
English: Site of Beck Hole Station. Situated on the original track of the Whitby to Pickering railway, the station closed in 1865 when the new deviation route was built. The station and railway had a brief reprieve between 1908 and 1914 to serve an autocar service during the summer between Whitby and Beck Hole. After that the track was dismantled. I believe the sign is not in its original location. |
