The US Centennial of Flight Commission from where this photo was taken credits copyright to the National Air and Space Museum, Smithsonian Institution with a copyright date of 2002. However, there is a version of exactly the same image (in lower resolution) on the Royal Air Force web site (http://www.raf.mod.uk/dcaecosford/aboutus/militarytrainingwing.cfm). The RAF web page states that it is Crown Copyright. Therefore this image is covered by Crown Copyright as one would expect for a British military portrait. As this image is over 50 years old it is now in the public domain. | |||
