Description

Contemporary Biographies, by W.T. Pike, including British Engineers and Allied Professions in the Twentieth Century. (Pike's New Century Series no.24). Published in 1908 by W.T. Pike & Co., 19 Grand Parade, Brighton.

This volume contains an illustrated section about the engineers' works, followed by a long list of short biographies (each with a photographic portrait) of British engineers who were alive at the time of publication (plus a few who had recently died). This volume has an index to the illustrations, and an index to the biographies.
