Summary
[edit]DescriptionSir Bobby Robson Bridge, 1 March 2010 (4).jpg |
English: The Sir Bobby Robson Bridge over the River Orwell (the tidal stretch of the River Gipping), in Ipswich, Suffolk, England. It's a cable-stayed bridge for both pedestrians and cyclists, featuring a 61m long bridge span supported by this single 35m high pylon. The pylon straddles the bridge deck and has its foundations on the west bank of the river. This is the east side of the pylon, which leans back away from the river. On this side the cables attach to the bridge deck while on the other side they are attached to the ground. |
