Description
Nederlands: In december 1891 was de ‘Koningin Emma’, een schip van de Nederlandse marine, op weg naar Zuid-Afrika. Op 6 december 1891, een zondag, werd de bemanning verrast door een sinterklaasviering, midden op de Atlantische Oceaan, in het geheim voorbereid. Bij deze viering nam een van de officieren een foto, die het jaar erop werd gepubliceerd in het blad ‘Katholieke illustratie
