English: Drawing of a simplified side view of the end panel in a Howe truss. The panel has one vertical post and two diagonal braces. Known as the "Single Howe", this is a highly unusual configuration of the end panels in Howe trusses. Prior to 1863, only five Howe truss bridges in the United States used the "Single Howe" design for end panels. |
