Summary

[edit]
Description
Deutsch: Single-rail Railway (front view) in Knight's American Mechanical Dictionary. General LeRoy Stone's steam monorail was built at the Centennial Exposition marking the USA's 100th anniversary in 1876. It connected the Horticultural Hall with the Agricultural Hall via an elevated track extending about 155 m (170 yards), and appears to have been called "The Saddleback Railroad".
