Summary

[edit]
Description

"Made at Singer Works in Canterbury Street, Coventry. This bicycle was another attempt to make the Ordinary bicycle (Penny Farthing) safer to ride.

The idea was to rake the front forks backward, which meant the rider did not sit directly on top of the large wheel. This meant there was less chance of the rider going "a cropper" over the front of the bicycle."
