Description

Installation présentée dans le cadre de l'édition 2012 d'Art Souterrain

Zone 1: Place des Arts

La première caméra infrarouge fit scandale lorsqu’on remarqua sa capacité de percer le voile vestimentaire, jadis estimé impénétrable. Ce pouvoir du regard, longtemps désiré chez l’Homme, venait d’être acquis. Cependant, devant l’affliction généralisée qu’inspiraient les coûts de l’appareil, on interrompit sa production, amputant ainsi l’élite bourgeoise de ses nouvelles facultés. Toutefois, en se mutant en système de guidage balistique, ces caméras surent subsister. Aujourd’hui elles permettent aux militaires attentifs de capter, le temps d’un soupir, les ravissants fessiers ennemis avant qu’ils ne se déflagrent en morbides lambeaux de chair torréfiée.

Né dans les Laurentides, travaillant à Montréal. Lauréat du Fonds régional des Laurentides du CALQ (2009), Simon Bouchard a présenté son travail au centre d’exposition de Val-David, à l’espace Jean Brillant, chez Praxis et dans plusieurs maisons des arts.
